African Spoonbill

Scientific Name: Platalea alba

African spoonbills are found in East and Central Africa near areas with water, such as lakes, swamps, marshes and mud flats. They are fairly common. They belong to the stork family. African spoonbills uses their unusual spoon-shaped bills for sifting through water and mud searching for small animals to eat.
