I'd like to start this off by thanking everyone that came out and made the first workshop of this scale a success! Props go out to all the models that put in a hard 8 hours worth of work. This is a challening feat even for the most experienced models. I'd like to thank all the photogs that came out and participated in the event. Without you guys this could not have happened.
Also a big thanks to Libby Lopez for working the logistics and coordinating the event, and her dad that cooked a fine meal and provided the wonderful loaction for the shoot. Although the sun was out and shining, the most challening part of the day was the wind. mother nature was really blowing us around all day long. We weren't going to let this get in the way of a fine day.
Thanks again to everyone and the next workshop will be even better! Keep you eyes and ears open and if your interested in the next one, let us know and you will get an early invitation to join.
I leave with with a shot of our coordinator Libby at the Hotel location. I brought my camera along to take a couple of shots of the event and this wall of the hotel caught my eye so I asked Libby for a quick shot and she delivered. Thanks Lib This shot was caught with 100% natural light. The hotel was a haven for natural light coming in through all directions. Arguably the best light possible, good ole mother nature.

Team,
Here are a few proofs, with very little or no post-processing (since I’m backlogged with my AVP beach volleyball shots from last weekend, and prep for the AMA Superbike races next weekend).

Best Regards,

This “cowgirl” shot of Nicole can be considered a candid – the wind was too strong to use a reflector, and before we could get a flash positioned, the cow had lost interest in our shoot

Did a second one.
The contrast adjustments were on purpose to overexpose the sunlight on her face. My take on the artistic direction I guess.
I named it "Hope".

Aaron, I like some of your images. One of them being #3. You might
want to check the histogram to bring out the highlights of that image
using either levels or curves.

Mike, to keep things neat, I posted another version right under #3. Let me know what you think. I pretty much suck at post processing... |
