That is a weird freaking knife. Is that a deer's foot or something?
The photo is great. The floating aspect is odd, but looks cool with the way you've done the background lighting. _________________ Hello, my name is BEN

Thanks Ben - Odd floating aspect with an odd knife.
Yes, it is a deer's foot.

Cool stuff Robin, I always enjoy reading your write-ups on how to do these setups.
OBTW, with respect to suspending the article in mid-air: on my recent shots of glassware I used a superthin monofilament fishing line good for up to 4 lbs. In most of those shots there was nothing left to clone out... _________________ Cheers,

Great idea - I will try to remember that the next time I am at a fishing supply store.

| I like the floating aspect of the image and the lighting as well. The only thing I don't really like is the color of the background. Seems to me that the colors are kinda feminin for the product. Maybe its just my preferance. |

What color is "beer, fire, 'n guns"? Sort of a mauve I think. _________________ Hello, my name is BEN

| I would say an almost black (dark gray) somthing a bit lighter than the Hoofs and the color in the middle is fine. |

Good idea Adam.
That would fall in line with a design principle that Shelah has been trying to teach me to mirror a color element, in this case the color of the hoofs into other elements, like the background.
